He’s versatile, detailed, extraordinarily hard working; and, now Mike Goddard is the newest Account Director at 7 Communications.
“He’s one of the hardest working and most dedicated people to have ever worked here,” said 7 Communications President, Larry Futers. “He has a great level of maturity and ability to take on whatever the situation calls for.”
Goddard joined the firm in 2013, as an Account Executive, with a background in social media management and a high-performance reputation. He moved to Account Supervisor; and, then to his new role as Account Director based on a heady mix of extraordinary client service and versatile creativity mixed with hard work.
“Mike is respected equally by our clients and his peers. That’s not always easy to do,” says Futers.
A graduate of University of Guelph, Goddard studied Business with a specialization in Marketing Management, before his career at Rebellion Media where he coordinated a team of Social Media managers that represented various brands, organizations and individuals. Currently, he serves an array of premium clients in the automotive, real estate, lifestyle, electronics and health care sectors.

It is very rare that a completely new track arrives in North America, even more-so when it arrives on North America's #1 ranked island.
So when a spectacular new multi-purpose private motorsport park is unveiled, it is a very special event. Over the past two weeks, we played host to a collection of media outlets from across North America for an in-depth look at this remarkable new 2.3-kilometre Tilke-designed circuit and the state-of-the-art safety, timing and communications facilities that support it. With its multi-configuration track, superb garage and vehicle storage facilities and elegant clubhouse, the year-round Motorsport Circuit in Vancouver Island’s Cowichan Valley region has married challenging driving adventure with convenience and sophistication amid the splendour of Canada’s island Eden.

The very first employee of 7 Communications is the company’s new vice president.
Natalie Maurice, who joined a very new 7 Communications in 2010, is the company’s newest vice president, the company announced today.
“I’m grateful she took a chance on us as employee #1,” Larry Futers, founder and CEO of 7 Communications, told staff. “Over the last six years, she has helped shape 7 Communications’ culture: one that is service-driven, client-focused and that delivers the highest level of client experience.”
Maurice joined the firm with a resumé already jammed with international automotive and leisure industry experienced gained from Bombardier Recreational Products, Hyundai, Sharpe Blackmore (Euro RSCG) and Scan Partner (Grey Global) in Sweden. She immediately shouldered a growing client portfolio that has included work for Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, BMW, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lamborghini, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Saab and Volvo.

Account Coordinator Rachel Alexander takes a newly created place on the event marketing team. Fresh from her role as coordinator at the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences/The JUNO Awards where she managed marketing and brand partnerships, Rachel joins the busy events team reporting to the Event Manager.
Tanya Colella joins 7 Communications as an Account Coordinator from Delta Regis Tools where she managed digital communications and will report to Mike Goddard, the newly appointed Account Supervisor in the digital and social media practice.

The Reproductive Care Centre has officially revealed their new brand to the public today. The Ontario based clinic, formally known as The ISIS Regional Fertility Clinic, turned to 7 Communications to manage the rebranding process after the need arose for a new name and identity.
The inspiration behind the original name originated from Egyptian mythology and ISIS, the goddess of sky, nature and fertility. The name’s coincidental association with the violent militant group in the Middle East was unfortunate and certainly warranted the rebranding initiative.

Mary Jackson has joined the team as Account Supervisor to fill a new role and arrives with 13 years of professional experience in the marketing/event industry and eight years of managerial experience. Joining us from Mosaic Canada, Mary has led and developed national marketing campaigns for clients including Procter & Gamble, Loblaw Companies Ltd., Mondelez International and the Bank of Montreal.
Tiffany Pacheco has joined the team as an Event Manager and arrives at 7 Communications from Grouse Mountain in Vancouver where she delivered more than 400 programs. Tiffany brings her logistical precision and solid agency experience with top tier clients Loblaw Companies Ltd., P&G, Ford, Lululemon, Novartis & Bell Canada.
Sydney Peck joins the 7 Communications team as an Account Coordinator. An avid yoga and pilates teacher in her spare time, Sydney was until recently, a Manager with Abercrombie & Fitch and will be taking on the coordination for a collection of national auto, retail, liquor and finance projects.
At the same time, Mike Goddard has been promoted to Senior Account Executive from Account Executive. Having just celebrated his 2nd anniversary with the team and taking on a collection of digital, analog and consulting projects of increased importance, Mike is very deserving of his shiny new title.
We are very pleased to welcome Miriam Blier to the 7 Communications team. Miriam brings unique insights to this program gained from her versatile design career first launched amid Montreal’s vibrant fashion scene. As well as art-directing captivating ad campaigns, her role included both event direction and the strategy to communicate key messaging leading up to, during and after each event.
An intricate craftsman for as long as she can remember, she bears a fondness for exquisitely printed and constructed marketing objects d’art. Her print experience ranges across textile, packaging, publishing and self-printed letterpress projects. Nothing pleases her design senses more than the selection of the right paper, finish, and technique to obtain the perfect feel of a printed piece.
In recent years, her passion for typography and artful layout skills benefitted a collection of publishers and corporate clients on both sides of the border. She delights in making text a pleasure to read in both official languages and is a very welcome addition to our team.
Race fans and emerging designers were today invited to design the face of Canada’s newest entry into the world’s fastest one-make race series at an event held at Lamborghini Uptown Toronto.
“We want passionate auto enthusiasts to help us design the face of our race team for 2015 and beyond,” says Shawn Morris, Vice-President of Operations for Grand Touring Automobiles. “This is the first Canadian team to race in the North American Super Trofeo circuit and we want enthusiasts to help us design a look for the team that truly positions us as Team Canada on the North American circuit,” said Morris.
For 2015, Lamborghini Uptown Toronto has partnered with Canadian-based Paragon Competition to create a truly Canadian entry into the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo North American race series. The six events in the series will be held at six world-class race facilities in the United States where venerated racing legends like Jacques Villeneuve, Mario Andretti and Michael Schumacher have graced the courses to make history.
“I will channel my passion for the brand with the support of my award-winning team and engineers to represent Lamborghini Uptown Toronto very well in the Super Trofeo series,” said Joe Chan, Owner, Paragon Competition. “We want to be known as Canada’s team on the circuit and I am excited to see the design of our new race team when it’s unveiled next month,” said Chan.
Participants have been given until noon on Friday, January 30, 2015, to enter in the contest that will see the winning design voted, selected and fitted to a V10 Gallardo Super Trofeo that will debut at the Canadian International Autoshow Media Day in Toronto on February 12, 2015.
“I look forward to unveiling our new team design in front of the media in Toronto and awarding the grand prize of a trip for two to the winner’s choice of locations within the 2015 North American Super Trofeo series,” said Morris. “Our esteemed judge and the CEO for Lamborghini North American has committed that the winner will receive recognition internationally for their work on this project,” continued Morris.
The winning design will be displayed in the Grand Touring Automobiles booth throughout the 2015 CIAS, which is located on the 100 level of the North Building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. This year’s Canadian International Auto Show runs from February 13th to the 22nd.

The Barnato is named after Diana Barnato, socialite daughter of Woolf Barnato, one of the original ‘Bentley Boys’ and chairman of the company. She was an experienced Bentley driver and an accomplished aviatrix. Diana was the first British woman to break the sound barrier and always portrayed both daring and glamour in equal measure.
The Continental is named for one of Bentley’s famed model lines, used on successive generations of Grand Tourers since 1952 and the underpinning of the brand’s current success since the two-door Continental GT coupe was launched in 2003.

In support of Porsche’s re-entry into the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans car race, our client Porsche Centre Oakville hosted an epic event to coincide with the race, which lasted 24 hours and brought more than 500 guests to its facility. Upon review of all global submissions over the past few months, the success of the June 14th celebration has just earned Porsche Centre Oakville first place in the Porsche AG marketing competition recognizing them within the global Porsche network for marketing innovation.

With the 24 Hours of Le Mans event, guests were continually impressed: Activities included a family BBQ, popcorn station and ice cream truck, as well as face painting and facility tours. There was even a Junior Grand Prix, which included a 65-foot-long inflatable racetrack for kids of all ages to race Porsche peddle cars. For those who didn’t want to miss the World Cup, Porsche Centre Oakville created a custom World Cup Lounge that played the matches day and night and provided a foosball table to stir up the viewers’ competitive edge. The legendary transformation of a Porsche 2010 997 GT3 RS into a Le Mans race car, complete with iconic red roll cage and a Le Mans-inspired vehicle wrap, provided a final spectacle that kept guests in awe. In early July, we hosted a launch-event for Jaguar Land Rover Toronto and transformed the Steam Whistle brewery into an luxurious British pub-style party.
The famous rail-car turntable was filled with various Jaguar and Land Rover models and admired by guests and passing traffic while valet and event staff welcomed and registered guests. The aroma of freshly rolled cigars, and hops from the on-site brewery filled the air, as did camera flashes from guests witnessing the all-new Birmingham, England built F-Type Coupe for the first time.

June 12th marked the final Lincoln MKC Reveal Event in a series of exclusive in-dealership vehicle reveal events taking place across Canada during a two-month period. The 7 Communications team provided 33 Lincoln retailers across Canada with the support required to facilitate events thorugh a dedicated Lincoln Event Concierge service.
The goal of the program was to attract culturally progressive customers to experience the evolution of the Lincoln Motor Company through the reveal of the 2015 Lincoln MKC crossover. With 33 Reveal Events taking place over the two-month program, retailers saw an average of 4 vehicle sales per event, as well as witnessing many new faces embracing the transformation of the brand.

March 2014 marked the 20th anniversary for the company that the late Charles J. Howard and Lorne R. Barclay founded in 1994. Howard, Barclay & Associates Ltd. is an Oakville-based investment counsel firm specializing in portfolio management services for high net worth individuals, corporations, trusts and charitable foundations.
